MUSIC & ART CAMP

Join us for a magical week of creativity, rhythm, art, storytelling and play!
This year’s MUSIC & ART CAMP will take place from Monday, August 4th through Friday, August 8th.
Drop-off is at 9 am - Pick-up is 1 pm.
At the end of the week, families are invited to join us for a special Friday evening presentation and art exhibition, featuring a live performance by Aboubacar Sylla alongside the children. It’s a joyful celebration of everything they’ve created and learned during camp!

Daily activities from Monday to Friday include:
We start each day all together around a morning circle with movement, song, rhythm games and sharing!
West African drumming, song and dance with Aboubacar Sylla, plus they also learn about his culture, stories, language, etc.
Snack break (Children will bring their own snacks and water).
Storytelling - We will read stories about art, artists, creativity, nature and music subjects.
Art making session with Mariana Oppel - Ceramics, painting & Creative Crafts! This year Mariana will also incorporate one of her new:
ART + PLAY sessions!
Friday Showcase: Families are invited to see the children’s artwork, listen to them drum, and celebrate their creativity!

Teachers/facilitators:
Aboubacar Sylla is a Master Percussionist from Guinea, West Africa (syllamusic.com) - @syllamusic
Mariana Oppel is a multi-faceted Artist, Illustrator, Expressive Arts Facilitator & Mom (About Mariana).
Both have ample experience teaching children (and adults) of all ages.
The children will receive:
High-quality instruction from professional artists/educators, and space and time to explore art.
Hands-on art and music activities
Encouragement to develop their creativity, their uniqueness, and enjoy and play!
Small group experience
The children will be immersed not only in art and music, but in a nurturing environment that encourages creativity, compassion, kindness, and a deep sense of care—for one another and for the world. It is a space where each child is seen, celebrated, and empowered to be their own unique, creative self.
Our intention is to create and facilitate experiences that inspire children to make art, express themselves, and embrace creativity—not just during their time with us, but throughout their lives.

Payment and registration:
Limited spaces available! Register early.
Tuition:
Early Bird: $330 - Ends: June 22 nd.
Standard: $350 until Registration Closes: Sunday, July 20 th.
Registration closes on JULY 20th, 2025 (or when sold-out, whichever comes first).
All art materials are included and instruments provided!
Children need to bring their own snacks and water.

Your spot will be officially reserved once we receive your payment and completed registration form.
Families will also be required to complete a detailed registration and waiver form (which will be sent out via email before camp starts) in order for their child to participate at the camp.
